Tasks:
Create and update conceptual and procedural content about complex enterprise applications. Also, edit reference prose written by engineers and integrate it into an existing developer guide.
Audience:
Business apps users and software developers.
Location:
Onsite, Redwood City. Offsite work is not possible on this project, so if you insist on telecommuting, please don’t apply.
Duration:
Full-time for six (6) months.
Required:
- 5-7 years’ experience documenting complex enterprise applications (as opposed to consumer or end-user web apps).
- Proficiency with FrameMaker 7 or later (they’re using FM 9).
- Recent experience with Perforce or similar version-control software.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage own project, create original procedural and reference material, and follow a style guide.
- Showable, original writing samples.
Desired:
- Experience participating in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Understanding of business analytics and/or financial apps.
- Experience working effectively with a globally-distributed team.
Pay rate:
To $43/hr on a W2 basis. No corp-to-corp or 1099-based arrangements are possible.
